The word Giclée is French for "spray of ink". The original painting is scanned and digitally stored in a computer. Giclées are printed individually on a high resolution inkjet printer, using archival, light-fast pigmented inks and 100% rag paper or archival canvas. Treat your Giclée as fine art. When properly protected from moisture and harsh sunlight, your Giclée will last as long as an original. Frame it under glass and hang it out of direct sunlight. Some works on paper in museums are over one-hundred years old. I work closely with the printer to ensure that that the print exactly matches the original. I sign my Giclée prints on the image itself, to avoid future confusion or possible misunderstanding. I offer Giclée prints to make my work available to art lovers who are not yet able to afford an original painting, or who wish to use the piece in an area where original work might seem extravagant. Each edition size is 250, signed and numbered. These Giclées are printed on archival rag paper with pigmented, lightfast archival ink. My most popular sized Giclée is 15" in the longer dimension. Shorter dimension is either 10" or 11", determined by the proportion of the original painting. The price for this size is $150. + $10. for postage and insurance to locations in the continental United States. I do not ship internationally. Items shipped to Texas addresses must pay 8.25% sales tax. Payment can be made by personal check or PayPal. I will soon add payment feature to the website to automate use of PayPal. In the meantime, please contact me for specific email address if you want to send payment through PayPal. Any of these pieces can be printed on larger sizes, either on paper or canvas. Please contact me at 281-330-3827 to inquire about prices and time required for custom sizes.
